Clock up Top: My Time Tracking Lifesaver
During a video coaching session, one thing that has bothered me for quite a while is distraction-free time tracking.
Yeah, we are supposed to keep an eye on the time as a coach. However, when it gets really engaging, when the coachee and I are so deep into the conversation that we are almost in sync, any slight drift of eye contact can kill that connection. I've seen multiple times that when I took a quick glance at the system clock in the top-right corner, the other person would subconsciously mirror the glance, and then that deep focus was gone. Ouch!
Until recently, I bumped into Clock up Top. It's a minimalistic clock app that does just one simple thing: a big, floating clock that stays on top. With that, my desktop would look like this when I'm on a video call:

I get to position both the clock and the video screen right below the embedded camera, to maintain good virtual eye contact without losing track of time. Woot!
